On the 20th of December, 2010 the Chair of the Tax Practitioners Board announced details of requirements for registered Tax and BAS agents to have Professional Indemnity insurance cover starting from 1 July, 2011.

In conjunction with Chubb Insurance Australia Limited we have arranged a Professional Indemnity Insurance policy for Bookkeepers and BAS Agents that complies with the new regulations of the Tax Practitioners Board.

This facility allows practitioners to choose varying levels of coverage starting from $1m through to $10m and it should be noted that the Limit of Liability selected applies to all risks under the policy. Therefore, if you have previously held $1m of Malpractice coverage and $10m Public Liability, you can now purchase one level of coverage that will apply across the policy.
